I work with clients in a warm and interactive manner, and adjust my approach based on the specific needs of each client. I work from a psychodynamic and relational approach: that is, I believe that lasting change comes from exploring and ultimately freeing oneself from the underlying causes of current symptoms. Together, we will discover the patterns that are holding you back, and experiment with new ways of being.
I work with clients with a wide range of gender, sexual, racial, national, and spiritual identities. I work hard to create an inviting and affirming place for people of all backgrounds and a safe enough atmosphere to explore issues of difference in our therapy relationship and experiences in larger society. I am a kink and poly aware and affirmative therapist.
My work is also influenced by body-based mindfulness approaches, which can be particularly useful when working with trauma.

Couples and Relationship Therapy
I help couples and partnerships of all configurations identify the negative patterns and reactive cycles into which they can fall, and find ways to improve communication and develop a deeper, more attuned knowledge of one another's triggers and vulnerabilities. I believe that our closest relationships can be our greatest teachers and bring an attitude of respect and curiosity to the couple and family work.
I work with both heterosexual and queer partnerships and families and am a poly and kink aware therapist. I am informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Imago Relationship Therapy, and provide practical tools when needed.

Do you find yourself struggling to feel seen and heard?
Are you craving more connection and feedback about how others experience you?
Would you like to have a supportive place to take risks in relating in new and different ways?
Group therapy can be a powerful vehicle for working through relationship issues. Groups function as a microcosm of the real world, and give us an opportunity to try out new modes of authentic interaction with a wide range of people. Hearing from others who have dealt with similar issues can help us understand our own predicaments; by the same token, having an opportunity to tell our own stories -- and impart advice to others -- can empower us to change and grow even more. My groups are confidential and help participants get valuable feedback in a supportive and connected environment.

Openings for New Members November 14th
This supportive group will help members explore their relationship patterns, try out new modes of authentic interaction with a wide range of people, and reinforce more fulfilling ways of being through feedback and mutual support. Members transform these experiences into increased satisfaction and connection in their lives. This will be an ongoing group that will ask for an initial 12-week commitment. All my groups are inclusive of people with diverse identities.
Living Improv Group Therapy
Click here to learn more about Living Improv
By engaging in structured but creative improvisation routines, we can learn more about our thoughts, emotions, and habitual patterns of relating to others and experiment with new roles and ways of interacting. But without therapeutic support and group discussion, many areas of rich learning go untapped. In Living Improv, we pair improv techniques with facilitated group therapy to help participants explore these patterns as they arise, receive mutual feedback and support, and ultimately transform this learning into increased fulfillment in our selves, our relationships and our lives.
